Project Description:
One of my goals in the Dangl/Grant lab is to understand the mechanisms used by phytopathogenic bacteria to cause disease in plants. I am currently characterizing Pseudomonas syringae type III effectors by determining their in planta subcellular localization. In addition, I am determining the effect of type III effectors on endosomal trafficking in the plant defense pathway.
