Itinerary

Thursday - Travel

Depart UNC ca 6:00 pm (Note - sleeping bags and pads required for first night, and there is only 1 shower - Phone at cabin = 803-473-3136).  From Chapel Hill I-40 east to I-95; I-95 south to US-521 (Manning, SC); US-521 east to SC-261; east on SC-261 about 4 miles to a Atruck@ sign on right, and turn left onto gravel road.  In about a mile the road turns right, continue as road appears to run through the front yard of a farm house (this really is a county road!), continue until you see what look like ca 3 large metal grain silos on left, turn left on dirt lane in front of silos and follow the most worn dirt track through the maze to the cabin.  This last bit is difficult and if you do not have a guide it is better to call the cabin from Manning and then meet your guide at the intersection of US-521 and SC-261.
